Mikaela Zito founded Essex Lane & Co. with a simple belief: the most successful events aren’t just beautifully executed—they’re intentionally designed and strategically built from the ground up. After over a decade leading global meetings, strategic sourcing initiatives, and large-scale events, Mikaela founded Essex Lane & Co. to bring enterprise-level expertise and boutique hospitality together.

Her career began in fast-paced event environments in both major league sports and high-end catering companies, where she quickly learned that behind every seamless experience is a foundation of thoughtful planning, strong systems, and the ability to adapt in real time. From managing high-touch catering events to supporting large-scale productions and national programs, Mikaela developed a deep appreciation for both the visible and invisible elements that shape an event’s success.

Over time, her work expanded into the corporate space where she sourced and planned events for Fortune 500 companies. This led to benchmarking, developing best practices, and consulting on strategic meeting management (SMM) programs. She now partners with global organizations to develop SMM programs, optimize event operations, and deliver high-impact experiences. This dual perspective – operational and creative – became the cornerstone of Essex Lane & Co.
